a. demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.
b. collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation.
c. communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats.
d. model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
Reflection:
This standard was met with our blogs and websites. These two tools are wonderful ways to inform teachers and parents about the classroom and the intentions of the teacher. Websites are extremely useful for informing parents about the course. The website is the perfect way to introduce you as a teacher and inform the parents of expectations, experiences their children will come in contact with, contact information, schedule, philosophy, and course requirements. Once the website is posted it is simple to navigate and very easy to update and change. This website is much easier than a sheet of paper because it is always available and easy to find.
Artifacts/Evidence:
• Blog
• Website
Future learning goals:
I plan to implement this standard in my curriculum. This will help students as well as parents. Teaching the students how to navigate the web to find this teacher information is important. This will eliminate house calls and confusion. The students will have a place on the web to find information and that will give the teacher more time to plan out instruction and create activities that maximize efficiency in the classroom.
